Frontline Applicant Tracking - Region 14 Education Service Center Position Type: Technology/ IT Specialist Date Posted: 6/17/2025 Location: Center for Technology Services Closing Date: Until filled.

GOAL:

Provide leadership and technical assistance for ESC internal staff and school districts by assisting in the support of technology systems, including firewalls, networking equipment, audio visual equipment, other hardware and software. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree preferred. Knowledge and Skills of use of technology in the classroom preferred. Network certifications / experience is preferred. Experience troubleshooting technology as well as experience in a customer service environment. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES I. Program Planning/Organizational Skills Provide Research periodicals and journals to keep current with technological trends. Relates component objectives to center-wide goals and demonstrates cooperation with other components. Maintains documentation of component services. Evaluates the extent to which project objectives have been met to determine future direction. Provide workstation support for internal staff. Troubleshoot issues with Audio/Video equipment and other presentation hardware. Provide support to schools relating to technology including; network support, goal setting, as well as management of resources. Support other Technology staff members to help troubleshoot issues internally and for schools. Work as a team to achieve the goals of the Education Service Center. II. Leadership Demonstrates leadership in the infusion of technology into all subject areas and grade levels. Prepares and inspires initiative among program staff. III. Communication Skills Professional and courteous while handling a variety of technology issues. Demonstrates good communication techniques and utilizes proper communication channels with clients. Acts as liaison for LEA administration providing updated information on both state and federal levels. Effectively disseminates technology-related information to groups or individuals. IV. Consultative and Technical Assistance Demonstrates accessibility through periodic contacts with internal staff and LEAs. Responds to internal staff and LEAs request for assistance through workshops and other services including follow-up services and training. Assists internal staff and LEAs in the selection of programs to meet needs. Plans and provides training in current educational practices or skills related to technology. Assists internal staff and school districts in the implementation of programs or innovative practices. Assists Center in the ongoing implementation and updating of their comprehensive plan for technology. Assists internal staff in the evaluation, acquisition, utilization, and maintenance of computer hardware and software. Assists in the development and selection of technology bids. V. Human Relations Demonstrates professional courtesy during personal interaction with LEA and Center staff. Displays an attitude of personal and professional concern in group and individual settings. VI. Specialized Knowledge Seeks training in professional areas and provides up-to-date information in areas of responsibility. Recommends and prepares effective in-service and instructional resources for staff and clients. VII. Personal and Professional Image Maintains self-control and good working relations with other staff or LEA personnel when facing problems and frustrations.
