This role works 2nd shift, 2:00 PM‑11:00 PM, Monday‑Friday. Responsibilities Serve as a resource for all questions on grammar, spelling, and current usage. Proofread legal documents for errors in typing, spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation and formatting. Apply proofing marks and procedures. Update entries in the electronic job submission and workflow tracking system. Work overtime as required and handle additional document processing projects as assigned. Proofread marketing collateral such as brochures and pitch books. Maintain strict confidentiality of information. Make common-sense editing decisions and copywriting as needed. Follow corporate brand guidelines and the AP style guide. Take direction from designers and writers. Requirements 1+ years proofreading experience. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010. Ability to work through complex document markups in a timely manner. Flexibility to work overtime or change shift. Fundamental-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with legal terminology and citation formats (Chicago Manual, Bluebook, California Style Manual). Strong written and verbal communication skills.
