For more information about AMS, please visit our company website Position Overview The Warehouse Associate I is an entry level warehouse position, performing general assembly of product, picking, bagging and packing orders, and standard order shipping. In execution of these functions, the Associate will use basic computer skills. The Associate will maintain flexibility to support across the warehouse operations as business needs require. The Associate is accountable for meeting department performance metrics and actively contributing to the department's continuous improvement efforts. Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities Assembly Inspect, count, and assemble products into appropriate packaging as directed. Pick, Bag, Pack Accurately pick all components necessary to complete customer orders for kitting and packing. Package customer orders for shipment as directed. Shipping Ship packages using the UPS, Fed Ex and USPS shipping systems. General Support all warehouse functions as directed. Specialize as assigned in the above areas. Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities Ensure the confidentiality of all company information, including business, product and customer information. Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts, bringing forward ideas for improvement in department and overall company operations. Respectfully challenge, without exception, any product or process detrimental company performance or customer satisfaction. Be at work in a prompt and reliable fashion, demonstrating a cooperative and respectful work style and operating in adherence with all quality, safety and other policies. Requirements Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Experience and Skills Distribution/warehouse experience preferred. Basic computer experience preferred. Must be able to operate and communicate effectively in a collaborative team environment. Requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive functions. Requires flexibility in work schedule, including working overtime as business volume and departmental needs require. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
