Position Overview

Storrs Central is seeking a creative and proactive UConn student to join our team as a Graphic Design Intern. This internship offers hands-on experience in sports creative, marketing, and social media, providing students with practical skills in multimedia production and branding while earning course credit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate visual assets—graphics, thumbnails, social media posts, posters, banners, and event collateral—for UConn sports campaigns and Storrs Central NIL initiatives.
  • Schedule and publish social media content with an understanding of audience.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent branding across platforms.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns, activations, and other various Storrs Central NIL content.
  • Adapt creative concepts into polished deliverables that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Engage with fans in the digital space and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a current  UConn student  eligible for course credit.
  • Must submit Portfolio of relevant work
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Creative eye with strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of social media platforms/trends, fan engagement, and college
  • sports culture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Coursework or experience in graphic design, multimedia, sports marketing, or related fields.
  • Experience in live event coverage or game-day production.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Interest in NIL initiatives and athlete-centered content.

Internship Details

  • Duration: Fall or Spring semester (flexible with course schedules).
  • Commitment: ~15–20 hours/week, including occasional game-day events.
  • Credit: Internship is  for course credit only (unpaid).
  • Location: UConn athletic venues as required/remote.
