Hiring for a Welder/Fabricator

Hours: 6pm-6am M-TR

Pay: 25-32/hr

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Welders and Fabricator Fitters for our growing team. Due to a backlog of projects and continued success in securing new work, we are expanding our team with three additional openings. Our company is known for its unique quality control and efficiency in production, particularly in using larger steel pieces which results in fewer welding seams.

Responsibilities

• Weld to code with precision and care.
• Work with stainless and carbon steel materials.
• Engage in fabrication tasks using mechanical aptitude.
• Conduct tolerance checks and assembly through precise measurement.
• Pass a welding test to demonstrate proficiency.

Essential Skills

• Strong work ethic and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to weld to code standards.
• Experience with stainless and carbon steel welding.
• Fabrication experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Measurement experience for tolerance checks and assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG and TIG.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment

Work in an open air manufacturing environment with shifts from Monday through Thursday, 6 PM to 6 AM. Engage in welding, fabrication, and grinding tasks in a dynamic setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHARLOTTE, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
