Overview (This position is for work to be performed in the city of Warrensburg, Missouri.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

An underground utilities, plumbing specialist is responsible for the excavation, installation and (or) maintenance of water main and service lines. We are looking to fill multiple positions on this crew requiring varying levels of related knowledge: from general labor to pipe-fitter, to equipment operator. Excavation may be accomplished using backhoe, mini-excavator or by utilizing hand tools. Knowledge of piping and associated fittings and water meters is essential. Responsibilities General plumbing work, able to run heavy equipment (backhoe, mini-excavator, skid-steer). Digging to locate and fix underground water leaks and drain pipes. Installing water piping to include underground PVC, cast iron and ductile iron pipe for water service lines. Qualifications Consistent dependability (must have good attendance) Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance Stamina to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, climb and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions Carry own tools Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedules Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions Underground Piping/Plumbing (2 years preferred) Excavating around utilities Knowledge of Missouri One Call (Dig Rite) utility markings (preferred) Valid driver license OSHA 10-hr Construction Card (will train) Job Duties Digging to locate and fix underground water leaks and drain pipes Installing water piping to include underground PVC, cast iron and ductile iron pipe for water service lines Plumbing experience and plumbing license is not required, but beneficial Possible on-call response necessary (incentive pay) Compensation & Benefits Based on Experience Excellent health benefits, 401k with company match, paid holidays and vacation, life insurance, short term disability, Flexible Spending Account We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Branco Enterprises, Inc
