Job Description

As the Spa Director, you will lead all aspects of wellness operations at The Charleston Place—including the spa, pool, fitness center, and luxury retail boutique. This leadership role ensures that every touchpoint—from a restorative massage to a sunrise swim, strength session, or curated product purchase—reflects the timeless charm of Charleston and the elevated standards of Forbes 5-Star service. You will guide a passionate team, drive operational excellence, and craft transformative wellness experiences that inspire relaxation, vitality, and connection. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of all spa treatment services, relaxation areas, locker rooms, and the hotel pool and fitness center, ensuring a serene, pristine, and safe environment. Monitor fitness center usage and introduce wellness programming such as personal training, group classes, or seasonal activations. Coordinate preventive maintenance across spa, pool, and fitness equipment, resolving repair needs promptly. Curate and manage the hotel’s luxury retail boutique, including product presentation, inventory management, ordering, and staff product knowledge. Collaborate with vendors to introduce wellness and lifestyle products reflective of Charleston’s culture and guest preferences. Maintain a motivated, well‑trained, and professional team across all wellness divisions. Monitor guest feedback, track KPIs, and ensure alignment with Forbes 5-Star standards. Support budget planning, revenue strategies, and promotional initiatives across spa, pool, fitness, and retail channels. Partner with hotel leadership to deliver seasonal offerings and signature wellness experiences. Ensure licensing and certifications for therapists, contractors, and lifeguard or fitness‑related personnel remain current. Required Skills & Experience 3–5 years of leadership experience in luxury spa, pool, fitness, or wellness operations—Forbes 5‑Star or equivalent preferred.
