Summary

The Site Manager, HIM Operations, reports to the Director of HIM Operations and provides daily operational leadership for the HIM Department across hospitals. Responsibilities include managing work volumes, staff scheduling, setting performance expectations, monitoring quality and productivity, managing attendance, conducting performance appraisals, representing HIM at hospital leadership meetings, managing surveys, and overseeing functions like Scanning, ROI, Deficiency Management, and Record Integrity Audits.

This role requires supporting HIM operations independently within a complex health system, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and demonstrating strong customer service and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in enterprise forms management and standardization efforts.
  • Ensure alignment of clinical forms, barcoding, and document types with scanning operations.
Education & Certifications

Bachelors degree in Health Information Management preferred or equivalent work experience (e.g., 8 years for 2 years of education).

RHIT credential required; RHIA preferred.

  • Track 1: RHIA with 3+ years of HIM experience.
  • Track 2: RHIT with 5+ years of HIM experience.
Work Experience

Experience managing HIM departments in hospitals, handling surveys, and representing HIM in leadership meetings. Demonstrated team-building and process improvement skills are essential.

Salary Range

Minimum $37.31/hr - Maximum $65.30/hr, commensurate with experience.
