Senior Tech Business Development Manager

As our Senior Tech Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of building strategic connections that expand Amazon Air's global cargo network. Your expertise will help create seamless, efficient transportation solutions that connect businesses and customers across continents. Key job responsibilities include:

• Create a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to help develop the partner strategy for Amazon Air's Air Cargo service
• Develop and manage interline agreements and cargo alliance partnerships
• Lead negotiations for Special Prorate Agreements and capacity arrangements
• Onboard new partners and establish operational protocols
• Setup clear communication channels and performance metrics
• Provide partners with everything they need to successfully work with Amazon Air
• Ensure compliance with international air cargo regulations and standards

A day in the life will be dynamic and impactful, focusing on developing collaborative partnerships within the air cargo ecosystem. You will engage with airlines, freight forwarders, and General Sales Agents (GSAs), crafting innovative strategies that push the boundaries of cargo transportation.

Basic qualifications include:

• 5+ years of professional or military experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Advanced knowledge of air cargo revenue management and capacity optimization strategies
• Experience in sales; account targeting, prospecting, qualifying new customers, proposal generation, negotiation, and revenue generation
• 5+ years business/partner development experience

Preferred qualifications include:

• MBA
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
• Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
• 5+ years of experience in air cargo operations, with specific expertise in interline agreements, cargo alliances, and joint business agreements
• Advanced knowledge of IATA regulations, cargo routing optimization, and international air freight operations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
