Recreation Aide – Afterschool Program
Pay Rate: $14.50/hour
Hours: Weekdays, after school hours (exact times may vary)

Position Summary:
The Recreation Aide will assist in delivering recreational activities for children in an afterschool program setting. Under the direction of a Recreation Supervisor or Program Coordinator, this role supports a fun, safe, and engaging environment for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily activities such as games, sports, arts & crafts, and special events
• Supervise children during program hours and field trips
• Set up and clean up activity areas and materials
• Help enforce program guidelines and ensure participant safety
• Assist with transportation in a 10–12 passenger van, if needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• Positive attitude and ability to serve as a role model for participants
• Experience or interest in working with children and youth programs
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Dependable, organized, and able to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, noisy environments
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to build positive relationships with coworkers and families
• Valid driver’s license preferred for van driving responsibilities
• Flexibility to work variable hours as needed
