MPE Machine Tool, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals for our Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technician Trainee position—an entry-level role that offers the opportunity to learn a trade while earning a competitive income. Based in Northwest Pennsylvania, MPE provides machine tool repair, rebuild, and retrofit services to manufacturers across the tri-state area. We’re looking for candidates eager to develop both mechanical and electrical skills and grow within our company.

As a PM Technician Trainee , you’ll join our MPE Machine Tool Apprenticeship Program, a structured training pathway combining classroom coursework and hands-on experience. Successful completion of the program opens doors to advanced roles with increased responsibility and pay. This is your chance to build a career in a high-demand industry with a leader in machine tool services.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in technical training classes, including coursework and practical modules.
• Demonstrate mastery of coursework through written and practical assignments and testing.
• Learn and apply mechanical principles and the proper use of precision measurement equipment.
• Work in an industrial manufacturing shop environment and at customer facilities (offsite work begins post-training).
• Maintain conscientious work practices and strong customer relations.
• Collaborate effectively in a team or work independently as needed.

Requirements

• Work in the Corry, PA area and travel as needed
• Able to drive a company vehicle to work locations and as needed
• Must possess mechanics tools or must procure through company program
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team

• Strong interest in mechanical and/or electrical trades.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in an industrial setting
• Approximately 50% travel, likely
• Must have valid Drivers License
