Bilingual Surgical Assistant – Oral Surgery
This position is based in the East Windsor office (with ability to travel as needed to other locations) - it is not hybrid or remote.

Position Highlights: Step into the fast-paced world of oral surgery as an Oral Surgeon Surgical Assistant! Your role is pivotal, aiding surgeons with precision during procedures and meticulously documenting patient care. From preoperative tasks to maintaining sterile environments, your expertise ensures smooth operations. Engage in strategic discussions with surgeons, monitor patient status, and handle advanced equipment with finesse. Dive into the heart of dental care, obtaining vital radiographs and crafting detailed patient narratives. You will also support our Spanish-speaking patient population by ensuring clear, compassionate communication throughout the surgical experience.Performs preoperative and postoperative duties to support patient care
  • Verifies patient identity, operative sites, and surgical consent
  • Collaborates with surgeons regarding procedures and operative approach
  • Maintains aseptic technique and a clear operative field throughout procedures
  • Prepares, inspects, and ensures availability of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Operates sterilization equipment and follows infection control protocols
  • Monitors patient intraoperative status and responds appropriately
  • Obtains dental radiographs and imaging
  • Completes accurate and timely patient clinical documentation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS Certification (or completed within 1 month of hire)
  • Spanish-English bilingual communication skills required
  • Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, demonstrating good judgment and critical thinking.
  • Passion for ensuring safety and exceptional attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulousness.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and superior listening skills, especially in emergency scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous oral surgery experience is beneficial.
  • DAANCE certification is desirable.
  • Licensed dental assistant status is preferred.
  • Radiology certification is a plus.
