Continuing our two decade mission of supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs with construction management expertise, LRS Federal is hiring aConstruction Administratorto support ongoing construction projects taking place at theVA campus in Lexington, KY. This is afull-time on-siteposition for the NIGHT SHIFT.

HOURS: Hours will be variable based on construction but will generally be as follows - Monday: 4pm-midnight; Tuesday-Thursday: 4p-2am; Friday: 2pm-10pm.

The Construction Administrator will support the construction projects as a government contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and assist the construction contractor in accessing various parts of the VA facility.
  • Prepare and maintain daily diaries for project activities noting events affecting construction.
  • Coordinate work to be completed with hospital staff to minimize impact to operations.
  • Conduct or attend weekly or weekly project meetings to review and monitor projects, project schedules, and review of construction contractor payment requirements.
  • Keep thorough records of occurrences, contracts, and others construction related matters of the project to assist the VA in conflict resolution.
  • Monitor the services of an independent testing agency/laboratory to perform project specific quality control testing an inspection services. The services may include, but are not limited to, testing/inspection of soils, concrete, precast concrete connections, applied fireproofing and roofing.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or construction administration
  • Ability to pass a government background check
  • U.S. Citizen

Work Location

Work will be located on the Franklin R. Sousley VA Campus and the Troy Bowling VA Campus within Lexington, KY.
