Job Description
Machine Operator/Extrusion An extrusion machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining machines that shape materials by forcing them through a die, ensuring efficient production of items like pipes, sheets, and profiles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup : Prepare extrusion machines by selecting and installing the appropriate dies, configuring controls, and adjusting temperatures and pressures according to job specifications.
- Operation Monitoring: Continuously monitor the extrusion process to ensure materials are shaped correctly and meet specifications. Adjust controls as necessary to maintain quality and consistency.
- Quality Control: Inspect extruded products for defects and make adjustments to machine settings to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Routine Maintenace : Perform regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and conducting minor repairs on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity,
- Record Keeping : Maintain accurate record of production data, machine settings, and maintenace activities for performance tracking and troubleshooting.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of machine operation, troubleshooting and quality control processes
- Attention to Detail: Ability to detect and correct issues in the extrusion process to maintain product quality
- Physical Stamina: The role often requires physical labor, including standing for long periods and lifting materials.
- Education: Typically requires a high school diploma or GED; some positions may prefer candidates with an associate degree or relevant technical training.
Work Environment:
- Extrusion machine operators typically work in manufacturing settings, which may involve exposure to machinery and the need for protective gear. The role if often full-time and may require shift work depending on production schedules.

*12-hr Rotating Shifts with EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF
*Night shifts hours: 7PM-7AM
*Steel Toed Shoes Required
*Resumes required for 1st and 3rd shift
