Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential mental health support to individuals adults and children. Your expertise in behavior management and case management will be valuable as you work collaboratively with clients to promote their well-being and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health assessments.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address mental health needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on client assessments.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with clinic standards.
• Utilize ICD-9 coding for diagnosis and treatment documentation.
• Provide direct support to clients, ensuring their emotional and psychological needs are met.
• Provide guidance to non- licensed direct care providers.
• Review and approve progress notes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services.
• Offer guidance on behavior management strategies tailored to individual client needs.
• Engage in case management activities to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Stay informed about special education resources and advocate for clients within educational settings.

Requirements

• Valid state license as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with gender issues counseling is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical setting.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
