Job Title: Legal Assistant
Location: Onsite - Community Hospital, Grand Junction, CO
Hiring Range: $30.00 - $34.50 per hour
Department: Legal & Compliance
Reports to: Chief Compliance Officer / Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary:
Community Hospital is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Financial Officer. This onsite role is essential to the effective operation of our Legal and Compliance functions and requires a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, including legal agreements, employment agreements, and contract addendums for review.
  • Provide legal administrative support, including preparing, proofreading, and formatting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in managing and tracking contract workflows and timelines.
  • Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and maintain agendas for the CCO and CFO.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and meeting materials as needed.
  • Maintain organized and confidential filing systems.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external partners or vendors related to legal and compliance matters.
  • Support internal audits and assist with compliance documentation and data collection.
  • Handle other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or paralegal certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative or legal assistant experience; healthcare or compliance-related experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
Schedule & Work Environment:
  • This is a full-time, onsite position. Remote work is not available for this role.
Compensation:
  • Hiring Range: $30.00 to $34.50 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package available.
