We’re seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to support the stability, performance, and security of TRUMPF’s IT infrastructure. This role involves managing servers (Windows/Linux), networks, cloud environments, and enterprise systems both on-premises and in the cloud. You'll play a vital part in proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support Windows & Linux servers (on-prem and cloud-based).

• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere required; Hyper-V a plus).

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure).

• Perform updates, patching, and system hardening to ensure security compliance.

• Monitor performance, storage (SAN/NAS), and backup jobs (Veeam).

• Enforce access controls and security policies in coordination with IT security teams.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents and service requests.

• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and user permissions (RBAC).

• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Support disaster recovery and infrastructure upgrade initiatives.

• Create and maintain system documentation and knowledge base content.

• Mentor junior IT staff and share best practices.

Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • 3+ years in enterprise-level system administration

  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)

  • Cloud experience (Azure preferred, AWS a plus)

  • Familiar with backup tools (Veeam) and ITIL service management

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware required)

  • Networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs

  • Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

  • Familiar with configuration tools like SCCM

Education & Certifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Preferred certifications (not required):

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

  • VMware VCP-DCV

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

  • ITIL Foundation
