Lumen offers a fully immersive, 10-week summer internship program. Our interns demonstrate curiosity, innovation, and a passion for advancing technology. Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program + Program Dates: June 1 August 6, 2026. Location: This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US. Work Authorization: US Work Authorization required for this role. Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate's commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.
This role involves assisting with the implementation and monitoring of compliance initiatives and risk management processes across various business units. Key responsibilities include gathering documentation, conducting gap analyses against applicable frameworks, maintaining records of risk assessments, and supporting internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies and governmental regulations. The internship offers hands-on experience in utilizing industry-standard GRC tools to streamline reporting, manage regulatory changes, and participate in team meetings to identify opportunities for enhancing risk controls and compliance workflows.

Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship. Graduating August 2026 May 2028. Preferred fields include but not limited to: Actuarial Science, Business, Risk Management or related field. Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (June 1 August 6, 2026).
Cybersecurity or IT (major or experience) Actuarial Science, Business, or Risk Management major Pre-Law would also be applicable NIST or other Cybersecurity framework ISO
Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role. Hourly Based Pay Range: Min: $26/hour Max: $38/hour
