A team where everyone makes play happen. Game Designer (Mobile) Please note: this role requires on-site (hybrid) work from our Orlando studio. EA SPORTS is one of the leading sports entertainment brands globally, known for top-selling video game franchises, award-winning technology, fan programs, and cross-platform experiences. We create connected experiences that ignite the emotion of sport through industry-leading sports video games, including Madden NFL, FC Soccer, NHL hockey, and EA SPORTS UFC. As a Game Designer, you will work directly on the mobile team responsible for designing features for upcoming releases. Reporting to the Design Director, you will oversee large features across our games' live service elements, from Ultimate Team to full game modes. Responsibilities: Oversee design vision and implementation, collaborating with designers, producers, programmers, artists, and other team members. Lead the creation of features and programs to engage users and meet KPI goals. Develop and lead a set of features or a large subsection of the game or live service. Work with PMs on metrics to support and guide feature development. Use data insights, user research, and design intuition to grow the live services of our games. Support the creative vision set by the Creative Director and Product Managers. Mentor and educate content designers on features and their impact on content creation. Establish knowledge across existing systems and support junior team members. Set experience goals for designs and tune features accordingly. Collaborate with diverse teams to define goals and tell player stories within releases. Problem-solve resourcefully to create engaging player experiences. Work with artists, testers, economy, engineers, and producers to support projects from design to production. Become an expert on the game and community to make informed design decisions. Improve processes to facilitate the Design team's work. Establish best practices and lead by example. Qualifications: At least 5 years of game design experience or equivalent knowledge. At least 2 years of experience in an active live service game. Understanding of interconnected systems in Live Service games. Excellent creative, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to create detailed design documentation. Understanding of UI/UX and system design. Experience with wireframes and mocks. Experience designing features targeting engagement, retention, or monetization. Technical proficiency in scripting or database languages. Collaborative, energetic, and motivated mindset. Ownership and prioritization skills. Effective autonomous and team work skills. Enthusiasm for gaming and understanding of sports games is a plus. Desirable Skills: Shipped a AAA HD title. Passion or knowledge of football or basketball. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Proficiency with MS Office, Google Docs, Miro, Visio, JIRA, and Confluence.
