We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director to Co-Head our Financials Research sector. The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise, strong industry relationships, and the ability to operate independently within a collaborative, high-performance environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with significant experience in one or more of the following financial subsectors:
  • Banks
  • Insurance
  • Asset Management / Capital Markets
  • Financial Data & Exchanges
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Spearhead the development of comprehensive research coverage for your sector, leveraging your extensive network of company contacts and buy-side relationships to provide invaluable insights into companies and industries
  • Drive profitable revenue and meticulously manage expenses, ensuring that your sector operates as a thriving business unit
  • Demonstrate leadership and management skills, motivating and guiding your team to achieve outstanding results
  • Work seamlessly across various business lines within our entrepreneurial culture, fostering a spirit of innovation and cooperation
  • Deliver results in a dynamic and high-paced, team-oriented environment, adapting swiftly to market changes and emerging opportunities
  • Contribute to Hedgeye's digital media platforms, including web, mobile, video, and audio, by providing expert content that resonates with our audience
ABOUT YOU:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; strong academic record required. MBA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of equity research experience (4–5 years preferred) at a sell-side or buy-side investment research firm
  • Strong quantitative skills, with deep expertise in financial modeling and valuation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Track record of producing high-impact investment insights
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to excellence
WHAT WE OFFER:
  • Annual Salary: $125,000 - $150,000
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus
