Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ph.D. Economist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide advanced econometric and statistical analysis to support a wide range of engagements, including IP valuation, litigation support, investment banking advisory, and strategic consulting. This role is designed to evolve into a testifying expert witness position in high-stakes intellectual property litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct rigorous econometric and statistical analyses to support valuation, damages, and market assessments.
• Develop economic models to quantify the value and impact of intellectual property assets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across valuation, litigation, and advisory practices.
• Prepare expert reports and presentations for clients, legal counsel, and courts.
• Support business development efforts through thought leadership and client engagement.
• Serve as a testifying expert in litigation matters (with mentorship and development support).

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Economics, Econometrics, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in applied econometrics, industrial organization, and statistical modeling.
• Demonstrated experience with economic analysis in litigation, consulting, or academic settings.
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work involving intellectual property, antitrust, or commercial damages.
• Experience preparing or supporting expert witness testimony.
• Familiarity with IP valuation methodologies and licensing practices.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $150,000- $190,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
