Overview National In-House Executive Recruiter, General Counsel & Corporate Counsel (Legal Division of the Adecco Group) — LHH Recruitment is assisting a leading biopharmaceutical company with its search for an Associate Corporate Counsel to join its Legal Department’s contracting team. This role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, supporting the organization’s growing contracting needs. This attorney will play a key role in structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex agreements and ensuring R&D activities are carried out efficiently and in line with business and legal objectives. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of R&D-related contracts, including collaboration, licensing, consulting, clinical trial, and vendor agreements. Serve as a legal partner to R&D and operational teams, helping assess and manage legal and business risks. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve legal and business issues efficiently. Qualifications JD and active bar membership (California preferred). 3–5+ years of relevant experience in biotech or pharma, either in-house or at a law firm. Strong background in drafting and negotiating complex R&D agreements. Excellent judgment, communication, and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Location This is a full-time, on-site role (4-5 days per week) based in Alameda, CA. Compensation Base salary range: $180,000 – $260,000, plus annual bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) match, equity, health coverage, and generous paid time off.
