Roofing Plus is a 30-year-old company focused on providing the best roof systems to some of the most impactful buildings in our communities. Roofing Plus is a family-owned and operated business based just outside the Atlanta metro with its eye set on becoming the premier service and installation contractor in the Southeast. Roofing Plus specializes in all single-ply roofing systems while servicing all types of roofing systems.

We are looking for someone who can help us scale our estimating team. Our clients are pushing more work on us, and we need someone who can keep up with reading and disassembling drawings and creating a competitive proposal/solution for our customers.

Here is a short summary of what we expect from an Estimator:

Our estimator(s) assist the leadership team in calculating the materials, labor costs, and variables for a construction project or other manufacturing project. As an Estimator, you prepare initial cost estimates for the required supplies and services, create pricing schedules, develop bid proposals, and assess the technical aspects of the project. You may also help with risk analysis assessments related to the project's costs.

We want someone who makes things happen daily. In this position, that means analyzing the project to determine the plan of attack, schedule tasks, and determine the scope of work and equipment required to execute that scope.

Here are some of the duties that are needed daily.

• Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints, and project plan(s) to understand the project thoroughly.
• Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
• Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service.
• Creating labor estimates for any project.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors.
• Managing bids from vendors and other trade contractors.
• Using bid data to prepare a detailed cost analysis.
• Presenting prepared estimates to management.
• Compiling and recording actual costs.

Here is the experience we would like our next Estimator to have:

• 5+ years' experience as a commercial roofing estimator.
• Must be local to our area and willing to commute. We are located in Auburn, GA
• Familiar with different commercial roofing systems and manufacturers.
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, and client sketches, as well as ability to design roofing solutions.
• Must have high mathematics and logical aptitude.
• Must demonstrate competence in measuring techniques and good general knowledge of economics.
• You need to have a natural talent to start and finish projects on time.
• Must be highly detail-oriented and can solve problems with minimal guidance.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
• Must be able to create spreadsheets.
• Must have knowledge of Xactimate - Certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of estimating software is a plus.
