About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chair for its School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operations of the school, including maintaining program accreditation, curriculum review, faculty development, and the self-study report. The Chair will also be involved in policy development, supervising the admissions process, and serving as a financial manager to ensure the security and sound operation of the education programs. Additionally, the role involves academic and accreditation duties, research encouragement, and enrollment and recruitment activities. Applicants must have a Doctorate degree in CSD or a related field, be an Associate Professor, and hold a license or be eligible for licensure in Speech Language Pathology in Michigan. A minimum of 3 years' of experience in practicing Speech Language Pathology, 5 years' of college teaching experience, and a strong record of scholarly activities are required. The Chair will also be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills, be a member in good standing of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and have current knowledge and experience in information and computer applications and learning management systems. The position demands a leader who can work with diverse faculty, staff, and students, and who is committed to the mission and values of the institution.
