divh2Part-Time Armed Security Guards/h2pShields Point LLC is seeking Part-Time Armed Security Guards for the U.S. Department of Transportation contract located at the U.S. DOT HQ in Washington, DC./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliObserve and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, providing for the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel./liliOversee access control, visitor processing, screening, patrols, preserving order, enforce regulations, respond to alarms, check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unsecured locations, security violations and emergency responses, maintaining a secure environment for employees and visitors./liliMonitor entrances and exits and act to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry./liliProtect evidence or scenes of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations./liliAbility to follow established procedures and policies. Post orders to include enforcement of client/company rules, policies, and/or regulations. Includes no personal cellular device or eating while on post./liliBe responsive in all situations./liliAbility to perform essential functions of the position may include long periods of walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to 12 hours per shift, either indoors or outdoors, during daytime or nighttime without reasonable accommodations. Outdoor posts may require the ability to withstand extreme heat, humidity, cold, and severe weather (i.e. snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind) for up to four hours without shelter./liliPrepare logs or reports as requested./liliAbility to analyze and produce courses of action reporting and escalate issues to management in typical and crisis situations./liliAbility to provide professional Customer Service./liliPossess and maintain all necessary permits, CPR and first aid certifications, credentials, etc., as required by the contract or by local or state law./liliExcellent attention to detail, good verbal and written communications, including legible report writing./liliAbility to work independently or as part of a small group to resolve urgent issues, process orientated with high attention to detail and triage a problem quickly providing precise/clear information while working under minimum supervision./liliAbility to use computers and Microsoft office (Excel, Word, etc.), monitor security cameras, and send and receive email using MS Outlook./li/ulpRequired Qualifications and Experience:/pulliMust be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident of United States/liliMust be a minimum of 21 years of age/liliMaintain an active Public Trust Tier 2 Security Clearance./liliReceived a High School diploma, or received a GED, or shows HS graduation/equivalent education./liliMeet one of the following requirements, two years in United States Armed Services/any combination of two years of experience in Armed Security and with Military experience/ Associates Degree or higher/completed police officer basic academy/ or three years of experience as an Armed Security Guard/liliMust successfully complete all training, medical exams, physical abilities tests, and drug screenings when required./liliMaintain the requirements of the Lautenberg Amendment/liliFluent in speaking, reading, comprehending and writing English due to nature of the position. A Standardized Literacy Test which measures, an individuals written and verbal understanding of the English language must be administered prior to employment./liliPossession of social security card./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications or Skills:/pulliPrevious Law Enforcement, Security Guard experience/liliFirearms/Gun/OC/Baton/Security Guard Basic Training/Screener Training NWDTP Certifications/liliCPR/First Aid/AED/li/ulpPay rate: 39.60 per hour/p/div
