Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping:

• Maintain and update accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented, recorded, and filed.

1. Month-End and Year-End Closing:

• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.
• Generate financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

1. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets.
• Assist in financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making.

1. Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and file state and federal tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the company.

1. Audit Support:

• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
• Provide necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth audit process.

1. Expense Management:

• Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with budgetary guidelines.
• Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.

1. Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

1. Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starter who works well independently without supervision.
• Detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills.
